Entry Level Investment Banking Jobs

There are many different entry level investment banking jobs you may want to consider if you have a Bachelors degree or higher in a business or finance major. You will find entry level jobs in this field paying anywhere from $25,000 to $60,000 or more based on where you are in the country and what your exact job is. Someone with an MBA can make substantially more even in an entry level position. If you're not sure which type of job you want you should definitely do some research and see what various positions entail.


You will find a wide variety of financial areas to consider. Although it's not quite as nerve wrecking to apply for an internship than it is for a job you will still find things to be very competitive. There are usually more students than there are available internships. Therefore the intern recruiter must narrow the field by choosing only the best students, with the best application packages. To give yourself the edge in this area, you should consider attending a specialized workshop on investment banking at a top school. Many MBA schools have investment banking programs.

Entry level investment banking jobs can be researched in depth on the Internet. You can look up certain jobs to find out more about them, including how much they pay. According to Payscale the average salary for a financial analyst is $52,026. The average salary for a financial research analyst is $78,616. As you can see the average pay rates for different jobs vary widely. These are only two examples of careers in the field of investment banking.
